JOYSOUND "Kyoku Navi" Music Play Mascot Released

This product is a mascot with a sound gimmick, featuring the "KyokuNAVI," a song selection terminal that has been popular in karaoke establishments equipped with JOYSOUND since its introduction in 2004. In the karaoke scene of that era, when song selection primarily involved finding numbers in thick songbooks and inputting them with an infrared remote control, the "KyokuNAVI," which allowed users to search and select songs on a handheld LCD screen, was a groundbreaking terminal that became a part of karaoke history.

In recent years, with growing interest in "Heisei Retro" and Y2K culture, this product was planned to evoke cherished memories of singing at karaoke during that era and the joy of music for those who remember it. For digital native youth who didn't experience it firsthand, it's intended to be a cutting-edge trend that embraces the "emo" appeal of Heisei pop culture's unique low-tech feel and nostalgia.

The lineup consists of five types, each featuring a representative hit song from the Heisei era karaoke scene that ranked first in the JOYSOUND annual karaoke ranking from 2004 to 2013. Pressing a button on the unit plays the chorus of the song, bringing back the excitement of karaoke rooms from that time right to your fingertips.

■XING Inc. Comment

Since introducing JOYSOUND, the first networked karaoke system in the industry in 1992, Xing has delivered the joy of singing and exciting musical experiences to many people. This product, which we supervised, combines "Kyoku NAVI," which revolutionized the karaoke scene since its debut in 2004 and has been loved for many years, with popular songs representing the Heian era. Our aim is to provide a new musical experience that can be enjoyed across generations, evoking the passion of that era for those who remember it, and the "emo" Heian retro vibe for younger generations.

Moving forward, EXYS WILL CONTINUE to create opportunities for people to enjoy music more intimately through new content and products that leverage its music and song assets, extending beyond karaoke rooms.
