Sogo Omiya to Host Sanrio Kids Festival! Create Summer Vacation Memories with Play School, Cafe, and More!

Sogo Omiya Store (Omiya Ward, Saitama City) will hold the "Sanrio Kids Festival" from Friday, July 17, 2026, to Monday, July 27, in the 7th floor event hall. This experiential event allows visitors to enjoy the world of Sanrio characters. It will feature a variety of attractions for the whole family, including a play school with crafts and games, a gift shop selling cute merchandise, and a Sanrio Cafe where you can enjoy character-themed sweets.

Sanrio Kids Festival Event Outline

Dates: Friday, July 17, 2026 - Monday, July 27, 2026
Venue: Sogo Omiya Store 7th Floor - Exhibition Hall
Business hours: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM *The final day will close at 5:00 PM at this venue only.

Playschool

A "Playschool" event, where participants can enjoy crafts and games inspired by Sanrio characters, will be held for children in elementary school and younger. Programs perfect for making summer vacation memories, such as "Decorate Your Own Cake" where you choose a character to create, will be available.

Participation fee: Play ticket ¥2,000 (set of 4 tickets, includes shopping bag)
Admission is one play per ticket. Additional tickets can be purchased for 500 yen each.
Tickets can be purchased until one hour before closing each day. Game entries will be accepted until 30 minutes before closing each day.

Work decoration cake making

Choose a character and have fun making cake!
Decorate with stickers and take home your own original creation.
Do not eat.

Choose your favorite character and color them in with special paints!
You can stick them on your windows at home, too! ☆

Sand painting in a tulip field

Choose your favorite character and make a sand painting.
Peel off the sticker where you want to add color, and then sprinkle sand on it.
The completed sand art can be taken home in a paper frame.

Mascot scoop

Let's scoop up the Sanrio characters who fell into the donut pond!
The number you get depends on how much you scoop.
Scoop 0-3 -> 2
If you scoop 4 to 7, you get 3.
・If you scoop 8 or more → 4 pieces
You'll get a mascot!

If you catch more than 2, you get 1.

During the event, customers who spend ¥2,200 or more (tax included) in a single receipt at the "Sanrio Characters Gift Shop" within the venue will receive a complimentary "Original Acrylic Keyholder" on a first-come, first-served basis, one per transaction.
Supplies are limited. The sale will end when supplies run out.

Last order will be accepted 30 minutes before closing time each day.
