On June 30, Nomi City held a departure ceremony for the "Nomi City Wrapped Bus," which will begin operating on July 1 to widely promote the city's charm. The design features Nomi City's official characters Hiponon, Yuzumin, and Poponon, expressing the city's cheerful atmosphere and good livability. Additionally, the phrase "Let's just spend time in Nomi City" is accompanied by a design of smoothly extending lines in the three colors of the Nomi City emblem, representing the city's bright future outlook.

Farewell ceremony
Hipon, Yuzumin, Popon
Hipon, Yuzumin and Popon were born in August 2017 as the image characters for the only bus. The original design concept was created by the art club of Terai High School in Ishikawa Prefecture.
Since then, it has been widely loved not only by citizens but also by people outside the city, and was officially appointed as the city's character with the opening of the Nomi Smart Interchange on March 25, 2018.
Hiponon
A character based on the "Pygmy Hippopotamus," one of the world's three rarest animals, at Ishikawa Zoo in Nomi City, and Kaga Maruimo, a specialty of Nomi City. They wear a yuzu hat on their head.
My favorite foods are round sweet potatoes and yuzu. I have a laid-back and gentle personality.
Yuzumin
This character is a motif of the special product of Nomi City, Kunizukuri Yuzu, and wears clothes with the pattern of Kutani Gosai, inspired by the traditional craft of "Kutani ware."
I like yuzu and Kutani ware. I'm energetic and responsible!
Popo non
A character based on the "Pygmy Hippopotamus," one of the world's three rare animals at Ishikawa Zoo in Nomi City, and the Kaga Maruyamato, a specialty of Nomi City.
I like zoos and yams. My personality is curious and I am a hard worker.
