The special exhibition "Cho National Treasure: Kagayaki of Prayer," currently on view at the Nara National Museum, is an event commemorating the museum's 130th anniversary and will run through June 15.

The exhibition features a collaboration with the very popular character "Sumikko Gurashi," and related goods are being sold. Among these, the "Tenori Plushie" has attracted particular attention and has already sold out, making it difficult to obtain.

Sumikko Gurashi "Tenori Plushie" is very popular!

This exhibition brings together about 110 national treasures, including the National Treasure "Standing Kannon Bosatsu (Kannon Bosatsu) Hyakusai Kannon" from Horyuji Temple in Nara, the "Shichishito" from Ishigami Jingu Shrine, and the "Bodhisattva Half-lotus (Nyoirin Kannon)" from Chuguji Temple.

Sumikko Gurashi" appears as an official supporting character in this memorable exhibition, and various collaborative goods are on sale.

One of the most popular items is the "Tenori Stuffed Toy.

There are five kinds: a polar bear, a penguin, a pork cutlet, a cat, and a lizard. Tonkatsu, Cat, and Lizard, and were sold for 1,760 yen each, tax included.

The plush toys are humorously reproduced playing with the national treasure, whether dressed like a Buddhist statue or holding a famous sword, and are full of adorable touches.

In addition, the "Tenori Plushie Set" (3,520 yen including tax), which includes an ebifurai tail and a ghost, was also introduced and became a popular limited edition item.

■Confirmation of high resale prices

All of the Tenori Plushies have already been sold out, and there are no plans to restock them.

Due to this influence, there has been a succession of listings on Mercari and other flea market applications, with stand-alone units selling for around 2,500 to 4,000 yen, well above the list price.

Furthermore, a complete set of all seven types has been seen selling for as much as 35,000 yen, suggesting that the difficulty in obtaining these items has led to a steep rise in price.

The TENORI plushies, limited to the Cho-Kokuho exhibition, have been overheated in popularity among collectors and fans, and their future is also attracting attention.
