Capsule Toy "Flat Aquarium (Keychain)" Released July 11th

At AQUARIUM×ART átoa, we will be releasing a new series of collaboration goods with niboshi artist NAMIKO, titled "Flat Aquarium (Keychains)," in capsule toy machines starting July 11th. Featuring motifs of the exhibited creatures, two colorful series will be available.

“A New World of Creatures Decorated with Niboshi Art A New Series of Collaboration Goods with Niboshi Artist NAMIKO is Now Available!

At AQUARIUM×ART átoa (Shinkocho, Chuo-ku, Kobe), a new series of collaboration goods, "Flat Aquarium (keychains)," with niboshi artist NAMIKO (NIBOSHI&) will be sold to coincide with the renewal of ELEMENTS.

New additions include two series specially designed for reptiles and amphibians, exclusive to ELEMENTS, as well as series for mammals and fish.

Based on the actual living creatures on display, NAMIKO (NIBOSHI&)'s signature colorful and original worldview is expressed.

The vividly colored creatures are like shining jewels.

The new series will be released in capsule toys on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

Artist NAMIKO (NIBOSHI&) Profile

NAMIKO (NIBOSHI &) / Born 1985 in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture.

Since being captivated by "niboshi" (dried sardines) that retain their luster even when dried out, I have been creating works with "niboshi" as the main motif, exploring themes of crowds and envy for life.

This work, meticulously covered with 13 characteristic default "niboshi" (dried sardines), expresses a graceful glow like stained glass and the original "color" of the creatures.

Their unique style, where precision coexists with the concrete, captivates viewers.

Won awards at Red Bull Ignition Osaka/Amerikamura Street Lamp Art Project, Konica Minolta x Pen Eco & Art Award, and SHIBUYA ART AWARDS.

Exhibition "Kirakira=Boshi" (átoa, Kobe), solo exhibition "Les Petits poissons de NAMIKO" (Aquarium de Paris, Paris), exhibition "Until They Become Stars, Ni." (Hiroshima Motomachi Aquarium, Hiroshima), among many others.

In addition to painting, Niboshi is also exploring new possibilities through genre-defying collaborations with aquariums and various companies.
